Bell Ringing

Thank you to all those who 'Rang the Bell' for the Salvation Army at Wal-Mart Saturday. We had a great time and raised money for a great cause. My daughter, Jordan and her friend, Jessica, enjoyed their first hour of ringing so much that they hung out for a second hour..... This was Jessica's first time ringing and she will be back (Nice to help build future Kiwanians). Great to see people that you haven't seen in a while and amazing to witness those who share by making a drop in the bucket! Merry Christmas.

Food Drive Success!

Today was our big interclub activity working with all the Kiwanis family organizations in Butte to help out the Butte Emergency Food Bank with the annual Thompson's Food Drive.

Showing up at 9am at the Racetrack Fire House to help with the street crews we had:
11 Circle K members
9 Butte High Key Club members
7 Butte Central High Key Club members
and
1 Central High Builders Club member

There may have been more, but those are the people Tyler could account for. That's 28 Kiwanis Family volunteers helping to collect food!

In addition to that, Kiwanians were in force at the food bank receiving and sorting food and unloading trucks. We had:
2 Aktion Club members
6 Big Butte Kiwanians
8 Circle K members
11 East Middle School Builders Club members
4 Central Middle School Builders Club members
5 Butte High Key Club members
7 Silver Bow Kiwanians
and
3 Sunrise Kiwanians

That's 46 Kiwanians helping get the food sorted.

All told, at least 70 individual Kiwanians helped out with this food drive (some people who helped in the morning with street crews came and helped sort in the afternoon).

The food bank really appreciated the work we did today.
