New Business:
A) Installation dinner for new officers witll be October 1st, Saddle club. Cocktails at 6pm and dinner at 7.
B) Tim has idea to put money jars in members businesses to raise money for Project Eliminate (world wide service project) Betsy will do an insert to put into the front of the jars to explain to the public what we are raising money for. Jars will look similar to the ones we used for IDD fundraising effort.
C) Keith reported on Circle K meeting last night at which there were 18 people in attendance...including himself, Paul Vang and Maggie Peterson and 2 new members and 2 people looking into the club for "rush week"
D) Keith also showed board members how to post an announcement on the website and showed tracking numbers for visitors to the website (we had 700 hits last month)
E) The Board also acknowledged and praised Doreena and Desiree for their efforts on behalf of the club in putting together the auction basket for District Convention and for their shopping for the "Stuff the Bus" back to school promotion there also.

Old Business:
A) Jack discussed details of the Kiwanis clean-up, Saturday Sept 18th noon to 2:30ish starting at the Chamber and cleaning up the old road to the dump. At least 40 volunteers are needed to make this effort a success.
That same day is a Montana Tech football game (night game, 6 PM- so after the clean-up) so if you can't make the clean-up (I'll be working) you can help out at the game (I'll be there after 5 when I close the store)

Miscellaneous:
Field trip scheduled for the meeting of the 21st ...we will be going to the Mai Wah for a tour and lunch. Because of space limitations, we will eat and tour in 2 shifts. Sept 28th will be Tina Green from the World Museum of Mining with a PowerPoint presentation and the 14th will be a representative of CI-105 - the real estate property tax. Jack is working on a speaker for the 7th.
