Silver Bow Kiwanis Kiwanis Club Meeting, Aug 9, '11
12:00-1:00 Tuesday, August 9, 2011Lloyd had his friend Gordy from the Vigilante Saddle Club there again, and reminded us of the Bull-A-Rama this Thursday. Please show up to help.
Ken is selling raffle tickets to raise funds for his nephew who is in a coma after a major accident. The prizes include an iPad, a set of all-season tires, an LCD Flat Panel Television, and three day tickets and camping for Country Jam. Contact Ken to get tickets at $5.00 each.
Loren from the Anaconda club (and past Governor of the Montana District) also joined us today.
Tim asked if the club is interested in taking tickets at the home football games again this year, and the membership present responded that we do.
Then Tim introduced Betty Elliot, our speaker. Betty was born and raised in Libby and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Betty currently works in a school-based mental health program in Anaconda and is starting a business as a Life Coach.
Betty talked to us about the program Thinking Into Results by Bob Proctor, who has been a life coach for 50 years, and Sandra Gallagher, a corporate attorney who became involved in life coaching in 2006 through Mr. Proctor's courses.
This process is geared around the fact that if people are more productive, businesses and individuals will see the profits on the bottom line. To achieve a goal, you must be able to see what you are and where you are going, and understand what to do to get there.
If you write down your goals, you are 1,100% more likely to achieve those goals.
Mind over body is a powerful concept. If you believe you can accomplish something, you can. You just need to learn how to move that belief into your subconscious.
Thinking Into Results is a 12 session program.
