Adriana was here again from the Circle K and let us know that Silver Bow Kiwanis was recognized as an Outstanding Sponsor at the Circle K district convention last spring and Paul Vang was recognized as the Distinguished Advisor. Plaques were presented to Shane and Paul.

Shane announced that we have our cleanup and repair session at the Chamber and Visitor's Center on the 12th.

We also have our Installation Dinner (or "Annual Shindig at the Rodeo Grounds") on the 21st.

And we have a board meeting coming up this Thursday morning.

Then Shane introduced Dave.

America's Edge is working to catch kids in the 0-5 age bracket. over 85% of brain development occurs before the American education system starts spending money and effort on education. In cases where children have educational and interactive experiences in this time frame, their likelihood to commit crimes later in life decreases and their chances of success in school increases. America's Edge is working on social change and policy change to help address this need in our children.

One of the programs that America's Edge has helped develop is providing a nursing program to go into homes of newborns and help new parents provide better care and avoid unintentional abuses.

For every $1 spent on local education programs, $1.65 is brought into the local economy, so funding education and early childhood education is helpful to the local economy.

America's Edge receives no money from member dues and no money from the government. All their funding is from private investors and foundations.
