Silver Bow Kiwanis Kiwanis Club Meeting, Nov 1, '11
12:00-1:00 Tuesday, November 1, 2011Adriana, Michaela, and Hannah from the Montana Tech Circle K joined us today. Adriana talked about Bowl for Kids Sake and they passed around pledge sheets to get our support for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Keith thanked Gene, Kenny and Jackie for helping with the Tech football game this past Saturday, despite the cold and wind.
Keith also thanked Desiree for braving the wind to help with Treat Street yesterday at the Mining Museum.
And, for any left-over candy you may have, remember you can bring it to 820 Sampson or drop it off today or tomorrow at West Elementary, Kennedy Elementary, or Butte High so that the Butte High Key Clubbers can package it to send it off to our troops overseas as part of Operation Gratitude.
We are sponsoring the activity room at the Library Uptown during the Christmas Stroll on December 2. Please check your schedules to see if you have time that evening to help out.
Paul let us know that his book finally came out. Sweeter Than Candy will be the topic for next week's meeting, and Paul will have copies available for sale if you are interested in a copy. He'll be selling them to members for just $15 at the meeting - and he'll even sign them for you. He's also got a signing scheduled at Books & Books Uptown on the 19th.
Dave reminded us all that we have a board meeting this coming Thursday at 7am at Perkins. All members are welcome.
