Silver Bow Kiwanis Kiwanis Club Meeting, Nov 20, '12
12:00-1:00 Tuesday, November 20, 2012Lee introduced our guest Michaela from the Circle K, and Michaela let us know that they are now selling raffle tickets for their Holiday Care Raffle. Tickets are $1 each, or $5 for 6. The money is used to supply gifts and a holiday meal for those in need in the community, and the prizes vary considerably from hotel and resort stays to meals at local restaurants, gift baskets, or other prizes from businesses in the community.
Lee then let us know that the numbers are back from the Library's work with local second graders for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF - $39.87 was brought back to the library. Also, the Butte High Key Club and the Butte Central High Key Club together brought in $885. These Trick-or_Treat for UNICEF funds go to the EliMiNaTe project.
Lee also let us know that Kiwanis International President sent us a letter thanking us for our commitment to the EliMiNaTe project.
We're moving forward with the Santa Photos project for the Christmas Stroll, and Jerry donated a bunch of photo printing paper for us to use.
Lee then presented pins and certificates to three of our new members, Jerry, Mark, and Cathy. Then Keith went through the New Member information presentation from Kiwanis international. You can view the presentation yourself (about 7MB).
