Today we had Connor, Jimmy, Colton, and Kyle from the Butte Central High School Key Club come to visit.

Lee also mentioned that fellow Silver Bow Kiwanian Tom Gallagher passed away over our Christmas break. He was a regular attendee of meetings, and had helped with many projects over the years.

Dave Stonehocker, the faculty adviser for the Butte Central High School Key Club gave us an update on their activities this year. The Key Club has 42 members out of 141 students at the school.

Their first project this year was the MS Walk last September. The total funds raised at the Butte MS Walk in 2012 was over $28,000.

The Butte Central High Key Club teamed up with the Butte High Key Club for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF to raise funds for the EliMiNaTe project, and raised $882 between the two clubs.

The Key Club also helped out with the Thompson's Food Drive, both collecting and sorting food, put together 5 Holiday baskets for parishioners in need, and decorated a tree for the Paul Clark Home McDonald's Family Place. Their tree sold for $375, and then was donated back to the Central Schools and was used as a decoration in the Maroon Activity Center through the Holiday.

On February first and second the club will have an information and donation table set up at the Maroon Activity Center during family and sporting events, and 17 members are signed up to go to the Key Club District Convention in Billings March 3-5.
