This week Adriana, Matt, and Michaela from the Circle K joined us again.

Cathy let us know that they are having the first (of hopefully many) meetings of the Butte Laughing Club on the third floor of the Library uptown tonight. She also reminded us that the Butte High Speech and Debate Team is in need of judges for the last weekend in January. If you are interested contact Cathy for more information.

Lee introduced our speaker, Marlene Holayter from the Montana Sky Lodge. Marlene is a Butte native, having grown up in Meaderville. She graduated from the University of Washington and then went on to get an advanced degree from George Washington University in Washington DC. She returned to Butte in 2010 and opened the Montana Sky Lodge in October of that year.

The Montana Sky Lodge is off the grid, and located 4 miles off the Mill Creek Highway on the way to Wise River. The lodge is in three levels, with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, a restaurant style kitchen, and large meeting rooms.

The facility can be used as a lodge, a bed and breakfast, or a vacation rental. It sleeps 12 comfortably, and can sleep more if necessary.

The top reason visitors give for looking for the Montana Sky Lodge is that they love the outdoors, whether it is hunting or fishing, hiking or skiing, or just wildlife watching, it is nice to be in a place out and away from the business of modern life.

Rates are $150-$250 per night for one room, depending on the room, and $650 for the entire lodge for a night.
