We will be taking tickets at the Tech home games again this year. Sign up sheets were sent around for the August 28 and September 4 games. Come and take tickets until half-time, then take in the rest of the game.
The club family picnic is next week at Clark Park at 6 - ,strong>INSTEAD OF our regular weekly meeting. Come and bring your family - just be sure to RSVP with Roger before hand so we have enough steaks for ken to cook! Please bring a side dish or a desert.
Tim reported that one of the presentations he went to at the District Convention last weekend was on fund raising for Builders Clubs, and it was suggested to collect Boxtops for Education to give to our Builders Club.
Shawn Ori was also recognized at the convention as the Kiwanian of the Month for the Montana District for this past April. Tim presented Shawn his plaque.
Betsy played a tribute to Roger's many years of service as Secretary for the Montana District, a position that Roger just retired from this year. Everyone thanked Roger for his long service to Montana District Kiwanis and to the Silver Bow Kiwanis Club.
This coming weekend is the Butte "Day of Caring" for the United Way. Several projects are available to choose from. Additional information was sent to the mailing list a couple weeks ago, and is posted on the web site.
Lee is "Going behind bars for good" supporting MDA. Please help sponsor Lee.
Jackie talked about Motorcycles and Miracles with Stephanie Bjorkman. Motorcycles and Miracles supports the Bagdad Shrine here in Butte to help their transportation fund. The transportation fund is used to help pay transportation and lodging expenses for children going to the Shriner's Hospitals from Montana.
Motorcycles and Miracles is a Poker Run going through Whitehall, Pony, Ennis, Virginia City and Butte. This is a family event, with fun and games, including a Show and Shine car and bike show, a mud bog, and a volley ball tournament.
