This week Brad and Ed Kilgore, former members of our club, joined us while they were in town.

Lloyd reminded us about the Bull-a-Rama coming up next Thursday, August 8. We need people to help park cars from shortly after 5 to about 7:30 or so. After you work, you get in to the rest of the Bull-a-Rama free!

Tim talked to us about the ongoing Schwans sales. Remember to have your orders in to Tim or to Schwans no later than the 7th so they can be on the truck for pick-up on August 10. Gift cards can be ordered using our campaign ID 43785 until the 10th. Gift cards can be used for any purchase and will be delivered to an address of your choice. Orders with this code, whether placed online or on one of the printed order forms can be picked up August 10 at the corner of Main and Galena.

We also have ice cream sales going on on Saturday, August 10. We're checking with Schwans about changing the times to have people at Emma Park from 10 until about 11:30, then moving to Galena and Main from noon to 6pm.

Cathy talked to us about the events coming up with AnRiRa. They have music starting at 3pm on Friday, noon on Saturday, and Mass at noon on Sunday. There is also a fun run Saturday morning starting and ending at Emma Park. AnRiRa also is having a "Montana Outdoorsman" Raffle. The prizes reflect our great heritage of outdoor activities and opportunities in the beautiful area we live in. Tickets are $10 or $50 for 6. Talk to Cathy or stop by Cavinaugh's for raffle tickets or to buy tickets to the event.

Lee reminded us of the board meeting this Thursday at 5:45pm at Metals Bank uptown. All board members should attend.

Ken moved that we unanimously approve the proposed new directors and officers, a motion seconded by Cathy. the vote passed, electing Kristi, Aaron, and Jeremy to the board as directors, and Shawn to the board as the incoming President Elect. Incoming board members are encouraged to attend this week's board meeting as well.

Then Jackie announced that KXLF is having their 60th anniversary celebration on August 14 from 5-7pm at KXLF in conjunction with a Butte Chamber of Commerce Business Card Social. All members are encouraged to attend.

Betsy reminded us that there are still scholarships available to Key Leader camp. If you have a high school aged child or know of one who could benefit from this camp (that is to say any high school aged kid), get them registered.

Paul also reminded us that the Butte Symphony is playing music at the movie being shown at the Original Thursday evening. In case of inclement weather, they will be performing at the Mother Lode Theater.

Cathy let us know that Don Blackedder of Montana Tech and Marco Haden of the Butte Symphony are the next two speakers (not necessarily in that order).

With that, Keith showed a short video on what it means to be a Kiwanian and one on the EliMiNaTe project.

Then Betsy let us know about a membership recruitment training webinar scheduled for 6pm next Tuesday. Check out KiwanisOne.org for more information.
