Silver Bow Kiwanis Kiwanis Club Meeting, Sep 17, '13

This week we were joined by JJ, Matt, Michaela, Laura, and David from the Circle K.

We have the Southwest Montana Federal Credit Union customer appreciation barbeque coming up this Sunday, September 22. We will be setting up starting around 11 and serve from 1-4 in the afternoon. If you can come by, even for a while, to help with setup or tear-down, to help keep tables clean, and to serve customers, it would be great. The Circle K and Key Club will be helping as well. The SWMFCU pays the club to cater this, and those funds go to the EliMiNaTe project.

Michaela talked to us briefly about the Kick-It program. This program pairs a Kiwanian with a Circle K member. The Kiwanian pays $20 of the Circle K dues for the year, and in exchange the Circle K member attends one Kiwanis meeting with their sponsor and works at a service project with their sponsor or provides two (or more) hours of community service on behalf of (and approved by) their sponsor.

We handed out copies of the draft bylaws and policies and procedures at topday's meeting. We will be discussing those as our program next week, so be sure to review them. If you did not receive a copy, you can download one from the members area of this web site.
