This week Al Balderas, the new sports editor for the Montana Standard joined us as a guest of Cathy.

Cathy recognized some "Hot Numbers" in the club with Hot Numbers lottery scratch tickets: Paul, Keith, Brandi, and Betsy were recognized for their participation with our SLP organizations.

Cathy also let us know about a boat ride on Flathead Lake being put on by the Polson Kiwanis club. The event is scheduled for June 22, and they need registrations in by June 1. The cost is $25 which includes the boat trip and a barbeque.

Keith reminded us of the Circle K meeting at 6:20 in the Pintler room on Thursday. Builder's Club and Key Club are not meeting this week.

We have a numb er of patches that need to be attached to our banners. We are looking for someone interested and able to get this taken care of. Please contact Cathy.

Officer elections are coming up in May. If you are interested in holding an office on our board, we are in need of an individual to take the Vice Presidency to follow Shawn Ori. We also need three directors seats filled. If you are interested, there is also an elected Treasurer's position if you are interested in running for that. If you want to run for one of these offices, please let Cathy, Shawn, or Mark know. If you are interested in holding the Secretary position, talk to Cathy and Shawn (Secretary is appointed by the board, rather than elected).

Remember, we are not meeting for lunch next week. We will be having a social at the Red Zone from 5:30 to about 8. Bring your spouse and kids, and bring a guest or prospective member! (If you are bringing more than one person, please help out our administrative fund with a $10 contribution per person or more.)

We are starting a monthly newsletter. Please contact Eddie if you have any submissions.

Mark then introduced Michaela, the immediate past president of the Montana Tech Circle K to tell us what the Circle K did over this past year under her leadership. Among their projects were the Holiday care raffle, concessions at the Science Fair, Tutoring at the Legion, the Thompson Food Drive, Little Digger Days, the Volunteer Fair, and the Wellness Fair.

David gave us some idea of what they are planning to do for next year, starting with recruiting - after graduation their membership will be down to three...

They raised $160 from sales of plates of cookies and brownies. They will be selling again at the Sunrise Kiwanis meeting in the morning.
