Silver Bow Kiwanis Kiwanis Club Meeting, May 6, '14
12:00-1:00 Tuesday, May 6, 2014Today we were joined by Matt and Adrianna from the Circle K and by Anna, the new AGM at the Hampton. We also had three new members in attendance. Mark, Kt, and Josie all attended their first meetings since joining today! Welcome!
Mark announced that this Thursday at 11:55 is the Key Club Recognition meeting. All members of Silver Bow Kiwanis are encouraged to attend to see what the Key Club has done all year!
Today is the School Election, please remember to vote. Also, we are still in need of election judges for the primary in June and the general election in November. Please call Sally in the Clerk and Recorder's office at 497-6335 if you are interested in helping out!
We are putting together the fundraising committee. We need two teams within this committee: Raffle and Kickball. The two teams will be putting together two major fundraisers, one is the Holiday Raffle we have been doing for years, the other is a new and exciting Cheaters' Kickball Tournament. If you are interested in helping either team, please contact Bill or Keith.
Shawn reports that everything is coming together for the Bike Rodeo on May 31. Keith gave the last Bike Rodeo poster to Sunvee to post at Glacier Bank. Glacier Bank is looking into doing one of their Community Service Advertizements to promote the Bike Rodeo. Thanks Sunvee!
The US Postal Workers food drive is this Saturday. Remember to put out your non-perishable food donations or check donations for your letter carrier to pick up, and come help at the food bank with the sorting.
Cathy reported from the nomination committee. The tentative slate of officers is Cathy as President, Mark as Past President, Shawn as President Elect, Sunvee as Vice President, Kristi as Treasurer, Bill A. and Jess as continuing Directors, and Keith and Dave C. as new Directors. Cathy intends to appoint Eddie as Secretary. If you have any other nominations, please bring them to Cathy, Mark, or Keith. The slate will be presented at the next two meetings, and the floor will be open for nominations. We will vote at our May 27 meeting.
We also had a shirt drawing today. We have enough funds built up to draw for three shirts. The winners were Reno Bowling, Dave Curry, and Cathy Tutty.
