Today we were joined by Cathy Malloney, Butte Superintendent of Schools as Lee's guest. We were also joined by David and Reno from the Circle K.

Keith reminded everyone that we have a Builder's Club meeting tomorrow at 12:30 in Miss Tutty's room at Butte Central Middle School and a Circle K meeting in the Pintler room in the SUB on Monday at 5:15pm. There is no Key Club meeting this week due to homecoming. Also, there is a Service Fair at Montana Tech tomorrow from 11-1. Stop by and help out at the Circle K table if you have a few minutes and talk to some students about Circle K and Kiwanis.

Mark reminded everyone of the Installation and Recognition dinner next week - Dinner Thursday, so the Tuesday lunch meeting is cancelled. Also, we have our board summit this Saturday at Fairmont at 9am.

Lee then gave us an update on the library. Everyone should remember to renew their library card - the cards expire every two years. Many of us dug through our pockets, purses, and wallets to see what library card we had.

Among the many benefits of having a current library card are access to some plays and shows at the Motherlode, Butte Symphony concerts, and community concerts. In addition to books and research materials that you can check out or use in the library, the Butte Public Library also has music CDs, VHS tapes and movie DVDs, eBooks for Kindle and other readers, and access to interlibrary loan items from a number of libraries throughout Montana and beyond.

The Butte Public Library also offers adult education classes from computer basics or eReader how-tos to reading or math tutoring.

The Butte Public Library is also a major sponsor of the Movie Night at the Original program over the past few summers, providing free movies played at the Original Mine Yard along with family activities.

Lee also let us know that November is National Novel Writing Month, so if you want to get that novel out, look into the programs available in November.
