Today we were joined by Lt. Governor Jim Greene from Anaconda and David from the Circle K.

Jim let us know that the Dillon Kiwanis club is having their 75th anniversary celebration coming up on the 18th at the brewery in Dillon. Contact Wally in Dillon if you plan to attend.

Jim also let us know that Anaconda has their annual fundraiser coming up on April 28. Tickets are $100 and include dinner for 2 and entry into their raffle. Everyone leaves the event with a prize, but only one lucky attendee will receive $1,500!

Cathy let us know that she and Dave Curry will be on Party Line today on KBOW radio right after the meeting to talk about 100 years of Kiwanis International, 94 years of Kiwanis in Butte, and 55 years of Silver Bow Kiwanis - and the 100 year celebration gala coming up this Sunday at 5pm at the Front Street Station.

Dave reminded us of the park cleanup this Saturday. Meet at Perkins at 9am and bring gloves. Then we'll determine teams and split up to go to the various parks. Parks and Recreation will be sending Cathy a list of the priority locations.

Dave also reminded us of the 100 year gala coming up this Sunday. Tickets are $19 and just cover the cost of the meal. This is not a fundraising event. Amanda Curtis has confirmed that she will be there. Drinks start at 5 and dinner is at 6 followed by a comedy roast. Cathy let us know that the board approved the club purchasing some tickets for prospective members you want to invite, so if you know someone who is interested in joining but isn't sure yet, talk to Dave or Cathy about one of these tickets - However time is short, we need to get a final count to Casagranda's for dinner by tonight!

Keith reminded us of the Mayor's Day of Service that Cody from AmeriCorps told us about last week is today starting at 2. We'll be doing soil prep at the community gardens at NCAT. Pizza will be provided.

This week there is not a Circle K meeting, but Builder's Club is meeting at 12:30 on Wednesday and Key Club is meeting at 11:56 on Thursday.

Dave also gave an update on the EliMiNaTe project. He was in the Capitol District last week and they are voting at their district convention later this month and will likely become the second district in Kiwanis International to commit to their fair share of the fundraising. This comes to about $425 per member. New Jersey was the first district to commit to their fair share.

Cathy let us know that the Kid's Coalition is working on a master list for contacts and resources for events for kids. They will be meeting at 5:30 on Monday, April 20 at the Emma Park Center.

Cathy also reminded us that club elections are coming up soon. We need someone as vice-president and a couple of directors. If you are interested in a position on the board, or if you know someone who you would like to see on the board, please talk to Cathy or Shawn.

Doug let us know that the major projects group is currently working on a couple of grant opportunities to get funding for our playgrounds, and reminded everyone of the cleanup on Saturday.

RuthAnne let us know that the Circle K will be having our bake sale at our meeting on the 21st, brought up the Mayor's Day of Service again, let us know that the Earth Day campus cleanup is also on April 20 - but gets over before the Kid's Coalition meeting. The Circle K will also be helping out selling alumni association tickets on April 22. FoodCorps is hosting a Fight Child Hunger Workshop on April 16 at the Legion Oasis from 2:30-4:30 to help families start indoor gardening projects.

Gene let us know that on April 21 we will be meeting at the Butte Archives on Quartz and Main and Skylar will be our speaker. The following week Todd Hunkler from NAHN will talk to us, then Matt Foster from our Circle K will be speaking on May 5. Next week (April 14) we will not be meeting.
