This week we were joined by David from the Circle K, Cathy's nephew Tommy, and Kt's daughter Cordy.

Cathy let us know that she is meeting with Matt Vincent this afternoon to send out a letter to the various organizations in the community that provide services, activities, or facilities for kids about the Kid's Coalition to try to get everyone on the same page as far as when activities are happening and what resources are available.

Cathy also reminded us of the board meeting for June. This meeting has been moved to June 11 due to Butte High's graduation being on June 2.

Doug has his back surgery today. This is expected to help him regain mobility.

We came in 14th on the Facebook Grant contest. The top ten went on to have the winner selected by a panel.

Jess let us know that the Bike Rodeo served 166 kids this year.

Keith told us that the SLP recognition barbeque is coming up on June 16. This will be a barbeque and pot luck.

Cathy reminded everyone that the 95th annual Montana District Kiwanis Convention is coming up in August. The hotel block closes June 26, so reserve your rooms now to guarantee the price.

The MS Walk committee met. Keith and Kt went in Brandi's place this time. We are working on getting lunches donated for all the walkers and volunteers.

Gene then called on David to let us know what is happening in his world.

As many of us know, David blew up his engine about a month ago, and has been walking and biking everywhere since then. His new motor should be in in about a week, and it looks like the final price is going to be closer to $2,000 than the $5,500 he was originally quoted.

In addition to working for UPS loading trucks in the morning, he is also working at KOPR radio on weekends, and will start doing voice work for KBOW shortly.

This fall he is returning to Montana Tech to continue working on his CS/software Engineering degree, now as an in-state student.

Gene also reported that his son Kenny has joined the Marines, and Mark let us know that Shea is recovering well and is down to just speech therapy.
