Roger reported that raffle ticket sales are continuing. Several tickets have been sold, but we want to get tickets sold as soon as we can. If you have tickets you will not be able to sell, please get them to Roger or ken as soon as you can so we can get them to someone else.

The Thompson's food drive is coming up December 4. In addition to food sorting at the food bank, Thompsons can use help with the street crews. Contact Keith or Tyler for more information.

Rachel Freeman of the Butte Rescue mission reported to us on the status of the Mission. They provided 11,794 bed-nights in 2009, only 62% of those are male, so the Mission provides services to women and families as well. Also in 2009 8,131 meals were provided to people over 65.

They are the only temporary/emergency shelter in a 7 county region, and serve the area from Idaho Falls in the south to Helena in the north, and from Missoula in the west to Billings in the east.

Though the majority of people they provide assistance to are transient in some way, 47% are actually local people and families that have fallen upon hard times.

People can stay in the shelter for up to 7 days, then they need to move on. The shelter will assist with getting people into transitional or subsidized housing.
