Darla had her daughter, Kaitlyn, as a guest, and Megan from the Circle K was also here to sell tickets for their Holiday Care Raffle. Tickets are $1 each, or $5 for 6. Their raffle is on December 8.

Gene reminded us that we'll be doing bell ringing for the Salvation Army, probably the second weekend in December. he'll have more information next week.

The Big Butte Kiwanis club is going to be replacing a ceiling at the Sunshine Camp next Friday (December 3) from 1-4 if you want to help out.

The Sunrise club is selling their coupon books for $15 - one coupon for Sparky's makes up for it! Talk to Riger or stop by a Sunrise meeting Wednesday morning to get a coupon book.

Remember the Thompson's food drive next Saturday (Dec 4). Keith will have sign-up sheets next week.

Tim introduced our speakers, Kathy Griffith and Joanne Cortezi from the Butte Emergency Food Bank. Kathy gave us some statistics on the food bank, such as the 1464 people they provided food to in the month of October this year, and the 5971 orders they have filled so far this year. That amounts to 660,000 pounds of food, valued at $919,000 - they will provide over $1,000,000 in food in 2010.

the food bank here has a commercial kitchen, so they can repackage extra food from caterers or restaurants due to over-preparation, so that food does not need to go to waste.

The food bank's main drives through the year are the Thompson's food drive (next weekend), the Turkey Tournament (this year they got almost 1,000 turkeys to give out), the Postal worker's drive in March, and, starting next January, the 'Lighten the Load' drive with the YMCA.

Kathy and Dr. Cortezi left our meeting with a food donation, plus $316 in cash and checks from Silver Bow Kiwanis and our members.
