Today we were joined by Joline, a friend of Cathy and Sunvee.

Keith reminded us of the Circle K meeting next Monday, and let us know that there is not a Builders' Club meeting or Key Club meeting this week.

Keith also lets us know about the interclubs this week to Sunrise Kiwanis tomorrow morning at 7 at Perkins, Butte Kiwanis tomorrow noon at Perkins, and Anaconda Kiwanis Thursday noon, if we can find the location for that meeting.

Jess let us know that the project to work on the Habitat for Humanity home for Ms. McKinnen is moving forward, and we will need to help out since volunteers need to be 16 or older to be on an active job site. However, there are other projects that the kids will be working on that do not have that age restriction and will allow all of the key club to participate.

Cathy then introduced Rod Alne of The Peak to talk to us about what they're doing in the community. Rod let us know about the kinds of services they offer for high altitude training from survival to parachuting to diving for the military special forces, as well as training they are now starting to offer for civilians from survival courses to climbing courses.

He showed us the climbing wall they have installed, which is open to use by members of the Y, and the equipment that they Y helped provide for that climbing wall.

Rod also let us know that the crews of the large planes and many special forces like to meet kids and show off their equipment. Some of the large cargo crews will have special stickers or patches for kids who come to visit. We may be scheduling a time for Builders' Club and/or Key Club to come out and meet a crew coming to Butte for training.
