Today we were joined by Matt and David from the Circle K.

Keith let us know that there is a Builders' Club meeting tomorrow at 12:30 at the middle school and a Key Club meeting on Thursday at 11:56. Dave Curry will talk to the kids about the EliMiNaTe project in preparation for their Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF on Sunday, October 25. Remember, we have a list on the table for any businesses that would like a member of Key Club to come by with a sales sheet for Butter Braided Bread once we start selling on November 12. Circle K meets on Monday at 5:15 in room 104a in the HSB. They are preparing for their Holiday Cares Raffle, and will start selling tickets on October 31. Watch for them at local sporting events! Also, after many years as the Kiwanis Advisor to the Montana Tech Circle K, Paul is having to step aside. We need to get an advisor for that club, so if you are interested let Keith, Shawn, or Kt know, and if you have questions about what you need to do as a Kiwanis Advisor, check with Paul.

Keith also let us know that we are only about 12% sold on raffle tickets so far, but more were turned in today. Keep selling, we only have another three weeks or so. Get your tickets and money turned in as you are selling so we have a record of what has been sold.

Shawn let us know that the board would like members to start setting up programs. We have a signup sheet so you can pick a date or two (don't try for more than two at a time), that you will schedule a program. When you get a program scheduled, please let Shawn and Kt or Keith know.

Cathy then introduced Terri Belke, the speech coach for Butte High. Terri let us know that with the speech program, they actively encourage participating students to participate in other activities to have a more rounded high school experience. They have members who are also in football, soccer, cross country, swimming and other activities and sports.

Terri then introduced Alex Culbert, a public forum debater from the debate team. Alex let us know that there are 35 kids in debate at Butte High, and a total of 80 on the Butte High speech and debate team.

Alex introduced Shane Cox, who does humorous interpretation for the speech team. Shane went through his speech on magic and magicians, performing several routines with disappearing balls and some tricks with cards. He walked us through the 7 disciplines of magic, the basic of all magic tricks and illusions.
