We had a lot of guests today, many of whom were there because of the Holiday Raffle Drawing. Ken brought Alana, Desiree brought Lauren from the Hampton, Roger brought Pat and Jeri. Lloyd brought his wife Dolores, and Dave brought 6 members of the Butte Central High Key Club. Jenn from the Circle K was also there, and announced that Paul, Jack, and Sarah all won prizes in the Circle K's Holiday Care Raffle. The Circle K will be helping 21 families this year with the proceeds from their raffle.

Tim introduced Joe, whom many of us know, from the Golden K Kiwanis in Billings and the Special K Ranch. The Special K Ranch is a working ranch where adults with disabilities can live and work in a positive and supportive environment. The Special K Ranch was set up 25 years ago by the several Kiwanis clubs in Billings. The Special K Ranch produces tomatoes and bedding plants, and is starting to produce native plants for the Bureau of Land Management. They also raise horses and sheep.

The Special K Ranch has recently put in a new watering system, sheep barn and corrals, and is working on new greenhouses, replacing the wooden structures with sturdier, longer lasting greenhouses so they can be more productive and more efficient.

A new home is being built at a cost of $1.2 million. This new house will provide rooms for 8 of the Special K Ranch's older residents, and will provide a new, larger community room. An elevator will help the older residents to their rooms on the upper level.

The Special K Ranch is also starting to produce jewelry boxes for Montana Silversmiths. This will provide work another productive work outlet for residents.

Silver Bow Kiwanis donated $500 to the Special K Ranch. The check was presented to Joe by Roger and Doreena.

Then, the moment everyone was waiting for: the announcement of the raffle winner. This year's winner of a $5,000 shopping spree at select Butte merchants is Zach Trent.
