Silver Bow Kiwanis Kiwanis Club Meeting, Feb 1, '11
12:00-1:00 Tuesday, February 1, 2011Dave presided today as Doreena and Shane were out. Jackie Rossin, our newest member was here to turn in her application.
Tim introduced Joe, the director of Tech Athletics. Joe thanked us for helping out with the ticket taking for the football team every fall. He told us about some changes in the football program from the new head coach who is moving to more full time positions and fewer part time positions.
Tech Athletics raises much of their money from their annual silent auction which is coming up April 16 and from their Udder Insanity program later in the spring.
Joe then introduced Kerie, the head women's basketball coach. Kerie shared their current NAIA collegiate ranking with us, and the Tech team is not yet in the top 25, but is very close. There are two ways to get to the playoffs, if you are first or second in your conference, or if you make it into the top 25 at large entrants. currently Tech is tied in third place in the conference with Carroll in Helena.
Kerie also went over the team roster with us, and gave us some background on each of the players on her team.
